WHY the name MAYA?

Because MAYA in Greek means relaxation, and because we believe that you’re looking not just for excitement, but also for slightly different ways to relax. The MAYA logo also has its own meaning:

	M like the mountains and hills that surround us in the Tolmin basin and the valley of the Soča River, where all our activities are provided.
	A for a cave. The yellow denotes an entrance to the caves that are plentiful here in the limestone rock of the Soča Valley. In Mala Boka, for instance, Tolmin and foreign cavers are trying to break the world vertical record.
	Y like the confluence of the SOČA and TOLMINKA rivers, which meet close to the MAYA CENTER in TOLMIN.
	A for the waterfalls and canyons that adorn the Tolmin area (Brinta, Gregorčičev Slap, Beri, Sopota, Mrzli Potok, Peršjak and more) and which offer fantastic day excursions as well as canyoning.

At the MAYA CENTER you will find qualified guides and the proper equipment, and you can always count on a friendly atmosphere, a lot of fun and plenty of laughs.
